And by the way, did you know that early in its run, Survivor abandoned a fully planned season that had been set to film in the Jordanian desert? Survivor: Arabia had been scheduled for November 2001 and would have featured each contestant riding around on their own camel; the events of September 2001 changed the network’s thinking.
Instead, the show relocated to Nuku Hiva, one of the Marquesas Islands. The camels didn’t come with.
