From a story (opens in new tab) by Josh Tyrangiel

Since its creation, in 1862, what frequently maligned federal agency has been visited by only one sitting president, John F. Kennedy?

And by the way, did you know that no sitting president has visited Madagascar? Or Monaco? Or Bhutan? Or Paraguay (which is a particularly wild one, considering that the third-largest of the country’s 17 geographic departments is named after Rutherford B. Hayes—long story)?

Suriname has been visited by just one—Lyndon B. Johnson—but before you excite yourself imagining LBJ’s Surinamese getaway, note the description on the website of the State Department historian: “Refueling stop en route from Uruguay.”

Have a great weekend!
